A Friday night basketball party for 5th – 8th grade girls Come join the Falcons for a Friday night of basketball, 3 on 3 games, contests, swimming, food, friends, & fun. Also, as “Future Falcons”, get the opportunity to meet the coaches and players that make up Rochester Girls Basketball. $60 enrollment fee includes a “Falcon Friday Night Hoops” T-shirt, all activities, pizza, snacks and swimming. There will be a book fee of $20.00 + tax payable at 1st class. This is an all skills camp that will work on serve/serve receive, passing, setting, and hitting, as well as defensive and offensive systems. This camp is for girls going into grades 9-12. A camp T-shirt is included, please give t-shirt size at time of registration. Campers should wear gym clothes, gym shoes, and knee pads. Please bring a peanut free snack and large water bottle each day to camp. Camp is run by Coaches Emily Victory and Kirk Gibbs. This blended learning course combines online knowledge acquisition and in-person water, first aid, and CPR/AED skills training. Prerequisites: 1) Must be age 15 by the last day of class 2) Swim 300 yards continuously using front crawl with rhythmic breathing and breaststroke 3) Swim 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive to a minimum depth of 7 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface and swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object in less than 100 seconds 4) Tread water without hands for two minutes. You will need internet access for course material and email. After registering with Enrichment, email instructor ethomas1@rochester.k12.mi.us for the American Red Cross direct link for course content. Students must successfully complete the first online content homework prior to the first class and bring the progress report certificate to the first class. You must attend all classes and pass exams to be certified. No exceptions. No make-ups or late attendance allowed. Swimsuit required for all classes. Brixology Camp sets the foundation for our next generation of makers! Children learn about different types of engineering and then team up to construct a different engineering-themed project using LEGO® bricks. We'll learn about aerospace engineering while assembling a space station. We'll explore mechanical engineering as we build boats and vehicles. That's not all! From carnival rides to drawing machines, mechanical animals to truss bridges, your future engineer will build upon their creativity to solve real-world design challenges, while developing their problem-solving and team-building skills.
