Rochester Community Schools

Welcome to the Rochester Community Schools School-Age Care (SAC) program. Our programs are designed to enrich and compliment your child’s school experience. SAC is located in each elementary school building. These programs are designed for families who require child care during the hours before and/or after school. Any student enrolled in grades TK-5 in the Rochester Community School District is eligible to register for SAC.

All SAC programs are licensed by the State of Michigan Department of Human Services. Our programs follow all licensing rules and regulations including a maximum staff to child ratio of 1:18 and square footage requirements.

This HANDBOOK is provided to acquaint you with our SAC programs and our policies. Should you have any questions or concerns, please speak with your child’s caregiver or call Children’s Programs at the Administration Building at 248-726-3023.

Note: The Children’s Programs SAC office is also responsible for 1/2 Day Specials during Professional Development days for teachers, and Summer Day-Camp provided daily during the summer months. Information on these two programs is located at the end of this handbook.

2026 Summer Day-Camp @ Meadow Brook Elementary School-June 17- Aug 11(no camp 6/29-7/3)

Registration Fee-$75/family (non-refundable)

Cost-$315/week/per child (non-refundable)

(NO DISCOUNTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR THE 2026 SUMMER PROGRAM)

Registration is for students TK-6 (by fall of 2026)- Please select the grade they will be going into for 2026

• Full-Time registration-March 3 (noon)-March 6 (3pm)-This is reserved for families committing to the entire day-camp offering: June 17 thru August 11 (NO CAMP- 6/29 thru 7/3) (No schedule changes permitted once contract is accepted)
• Part-Time registration-March 17 (noon)-March 20 (3pm)-(SPACE PERMITTING)- This is for families that would like to choose available weeks. (No schedule changes permitted once contract is accepted, unless it is is to add additional available weeks)

• April 7, 2026, at noon – FULL-TIME SAC registration begins for families needing full-time care, Monday-Friday (AM, PM, or BOTH), for the entire school year. New registration is required each year for participation. Please note: No schedule changes will be permitted for the duration of the school year once FULL-TIME registration is processed.
• April 21, 2026, at noon – PART-TIME SAC registration begins for families requesting part-time care (minimum of two days per week) and needing the option of schedule changes throughout the school year.

SAC registration is subject to availability. Families must submit a new registration each year. Enrollment is not automatic for current students.
