Students wishing to act in SMT must register with the Summer Learning Program before auditions. Please review this packet before registering: Summer 2025 SMT Packet SMT begins with auditions on June 17 and runs until July 27. Depending on their part, students will rehearse 3-5 days a week from 9a.m.-1p.m. most days, with tech and performance weeks going later. Students from ANY school, not just RCS, entering grades 7-12, including Class of 2025 graduates, may be a part of the SMT cast. Students in younger grades who have participated in SMT in the past may also register. SMT is for serious theatre performers, and students focused on improving their acting, singing, and dancing skills. SMT does not operate as a daycare. However, our older students mentor and provide strong role models to our younger actors. Students work toward a final five performances in six very short weeks. They should be willing to be a part of this rich tradition and self-motivated during downtime.
