Chess Wizards (5-11years) BKBrooklands-BASESChess Wizards is one of the nation’s premier chess education companies. Our interactive, discover-based curriculum inspires students to think ahead, visualize their goals, treat others with respect and to learn from mistakes. Our classes are geared to suit children of all skill levels; from chess-ling to checkmate artist, students will build upon their knowledge through lessons, tournaments, variation games and more! More than just a game of winning and losing, we make learning chess FUN! All registrations must be made by 12pm/noon, 2 business days prior to the start date of the class. Classes that do not meet established minimums will have to be cancelled. Please register early to avoid cancelled classes! Late registrations are not allowed. If you need to cancel this class you would need to do so 7 days or more from exact start date of class, and subject to a $10 service fee. If it is 6 days or less before the start date of the class, or if you go to the class and decide you want to cancel, you would need to do so before the 2nd class meets and will be subject to a $25 service fee. Starting SoonFrench Class for Kids (Ages 6-11 years) BKBrooklands-BASESWould you like your child to learn French while having fun? If your answer is yes, you are in the right place! Students will be introduced to the language in a environment where they will sing, play, speak, listen and interact all in French. Themes to be learned include greetings, introducing yourself, numbers up to 20, days of the week, favorite foods and animals. In addition, a craft activity will be held every week. Allons-y! The program focuses on the development of basic motor skills, body mechanics and basic soccer skills. Sessions involve fun activities, games and an introduction to a soccer game. Overall this is a great foundational program for your child to learn more about the game of soccer. All equipment is provided, just wear athletic/gym shoes.
