West MS 7th grade “A Christmas Carol” Meadowbrook Field Trip 2026-2027

Our annual seventh-grade field trip to Meadowbrook Theatre’s production of A Christmas Carol is just around the corner! 

We are so excited to offer our students the opportunity to see a live play at a local theater; it is truly one of the best productions around. 

Rochester Community School’s seventh-grade classes include this field trip in their fall curriculum because it so wonderfully meets our English Language Arts standards. 

All seventh graders must know and understand the elements of drama and exhibit active listening skills. 

In addition, we tie many other standards into this field trip including proving knowledge of character analysis, symbolism, narrative plot structure, and cross-text comparisons.

Date: November 19, 2026

Location: Meadowbrook Theatre, 378 Meadow Brook Rd, Rochester, MI 48309

Cost: $35 per Student 

Lunch: Please send your child with a bag lunch on the day of the trip. Lunch will take place in the West cafeteria after the play.

Chaperone opportunity: Information to follow from Language Arts teachers

Limitations: West Middle School 7th grade students only

Dress Code: Formal attire is required

Permission slip and payment due: No later than September 28, 2026
