RHS Sports Medicine Club

School Fees / High Schools / Rochester High School / Clubs -
School Event Fees 2026-2027

As a member of the Sports Medicine Club, students can explore the field of sports medicine in addition to gaining hands-on experience in healthcare, athletic training and injury prevention by learning from our RHS athletic trainer.  They learn practical skills such as first aid, CPR/AED certification, joint taping and wrapping techniques. They are able to assist with managing water, supplies, and basic care during team practices and games. At the meetings, members study basic anatomy, look at common sports injuries like sprains and concussions, and learn about various rehabilitation methods. Guest speakers such as physical therapists, orthopedic doctors, sports nutritionists and EMTs are lined up to come in and talk about their jobs. Sports Med Club is co-sponsored by PE & Health teacher Mrs. Oppat and the RHS Athletic Trainer, Ms. Chirco.
The $30 club fee is a non-refundable district fee.
