Van Hoosen STREAM Leaders – 2026-2027
STREAM Leaders gives students the opportunity to engage in hands-on environmental science while making a positive impact in our community. Students will learn how to conduct chemical and macroinvertebrate tests, analyze water-quality data, and assess the health of a local stream.
In late May, when all 8th-grade students participate in a field trip to conduct water-quality testing, STREAM Leaders will take on leadership roles by training their peers, organizing materials, and leading groups at the stream site.

Location: Room 131 (Science Room)
Eligibility: 8th-grade students only
Club Fee: $30 (covers district registration)
Field Trip Fee: Approximately $60, collected at a later date

Membership: Students must apply and be accepted into the club. Maximum of 26 students will be selected.
Important: Please do not pay the club fee unless your student has applied and been accepted as a STREAM Leader. Selection will take place in October.
