Review of chess rules, explore various openings when playing White or Black, tactics, where to position your pieces, endgame strategies, scorekeeping, use of chess clock & class competition. Material fee of $25 due to instructor on first day.

All registrations must be made by 12pm/noon, 2 business days prior to the start date of the class. Classes that do not meet established minimums will have to be cancelled. Please register early to avoid cancelled classes! No late registrations allowed.

If you need to cancel this class you would need to do so 7 days or more from exact start date of class, and subject to a $10 service fee. If it is 6 days or less before the start date of the class, or if you go to the class and decide you want to cancel, you would need to do so before the 2^nd class meets and will be subject to a $25 service fee. Regardless of sign up date, after the 2^nd class starts there are no refunds, transfers or cancellations.
