Rochester Community Schools

A creative summer art camp for curious young artists. Call all axolotl fans and ocean explorers - let's dive under the sea!  In this imaginative week-long art camp, young artists will explore the magical world beneath the waves while creating artwork inspired by fascinating sea creatures and icy-water fiends alike.  Students will bring to life: seahorses, jellyfish, sea turtles, dolphins, whales, playful penguins, mysterious narwhals, and YES... everyone's favorite axolotl! Campers will use a variety of media and create: paintings, model magic sculptures, drawings (using colored pencils, chalk, pastel & oil pastel). Children will learn new techniques, observation skills, and creative problem-solving, all within a small class setting with individual attention. A family Gallery Show will take place on the final day of camp (please arrive 5 minutes early for a viewing of creations). Please have child bring water bottle, snack, and wear clothes that are not precious. Please indicate what size t-shirt your student wears when registering for this class. Bring a bathing suit, towel, or change of clothes on Thursday for an optional outdoor water play. Taught by Artist/Instructor Pamela Palmer B.F.A., Founder of The Artist's Apprentice.  

All registrations must be made more than 2 business days prior to the start date of the class. Classes that do not meet established minimums will have to be cancelled. Please register early to avoid cancelled classes!

If you need to cancel this class you would need to do so 7 days or more from exact start date of class, and subject to a $10 service fee. No refunds, transfers, or cancellations will be given if you cancel less than 7 days regardless of sign up date.
