Van Hoosen Green Club: 2025–2026

Calling all Van Hoosen Vikings!

Interested in making Van Hoosen, the community, and the world a greener place? Want to help the environment, but not sure how? Join the Van Hoosen Green Club!

Club Details:

  • Meeting Time: Every other Wednesday from 2:35 – 3:35 PM
  • Meeting Schedule: Listed on the paper application and posted in the Green Club Google Classroom
  • Club Fee: $45 (includes a $30 club fee and $15 for materials, supplies, and prizes)

Important Information:

  • Please do not pay until your student has turned in an application and been accepted
  • We are only accepting 25 students this year.
  • We will confirm membership via a letter to homerooms on Tuesday, October 14th.
  • Applications can be picked up and returned outside Room 105 (Mrs. Smiler’s room).
  • Please turn in your application by Monday, October 13th to apply to be a member of the VH Green Club
  • We will confirm membership in homerooms on Tuesday, October 14th!
  • First club meeting: Wednesday, October 15

**IMPORTANT: DO NOT PAY before Oct. 14 and unless your student has received an acceptance note.

Meeting Dates:
(Typically the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month)

  • October: 15, 29
  • November: 5, 19
  • December: 3, 17
  • January: 7, 21
  • February: 4, 18
  • March: 4, 18
  • April: 15, 22
  • May: 6, 20

Refunds are only available for club fees if the request is made before the club officially starts. Once a club's activities have begun (i.e., the first meeting or event has occurred), no refunds will be issued.
