Short Description
The RHS chapter of the National Technical Honor Society strives to encourage students to think about success differently and to consider both technical and soft skills that can be learned. Opportunities are offered for members to mentor at the elementary and middle schools, work at career and job fairs at the high school level, and be innovators in our school community.
Members are required to earn points by participating in various activities such as Shark Tank competitions, tradeshows, manufacturers day, women in STEM career showcases, tech talks, Oakland Schools STEM truck, Careers in a Box middle school program, and more!
Membership is open to students who have previously taken or are currently taking a Career and Technical Education course in business, computer science, woodworking, education, engineering, or robotics and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
In addition to the $30 club fee, another $30 fee applies for NTHS national membership dues and is payable at this separate link. This one-time payment to the National Technical Honor Society Organization includes full membership privileges with lifetime access to their membership portal.
Submit payment for both fees once you have applied and have been accepted to NTHS.
Sponsored by Mrs. Hand, meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 7:00 - 7:20 am and from 2:30 - 3:00 pm in room D118. See Mrs. Hand for details.
The $30 club fee is a non-refundable district fee.
