High School Summer Learning Program
Every year, Adams High School in conjunction with the other RCS high schools holds an annual charity week where we raise money for a cause that we really care about—in past years, we've raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities like the Yellow Ribbon Fund, The Henry Ford Center for Living Donations, Humble Design and more—all charities with an immense impact in our very community of Rochester Hills. This year's Charity Week is March 2-8.
This year, we have partnered with Camp Kesem, an organization dedicated to support children who are affected by a parent or caregiver's cancer. Kesem is a week-long sleepaway summer camp designated for children to have fun and create friendships with those who are going through similar things. This program allows children to just be kids and not worry about what is going on at home, at no cost for families. 5 million children coping with a loved one's diagnosis are at risk of experiencing hopelessness or anxiety everyday, which makes it Camp Kesem's mission to make sure any child struggling is never alone.
You are also welcome to make donations in the form of cash or check—please make them out to Camp Kesem or Rochester Community Schools and donate to any of your child’s teachers, or drop it off in the office.
