SCHS Small Business Downtown Field Trip: Friday 10/18/24
Small Business students from SCHS will immerse themselves in the vibrant world of local entrepreneurship! This hands-on experience will not only enhance classroom learning but also align with our key competencies in business acumen, problem-solving, and community engagement. Teams will navigate the downtown area, visiting various local businesses to complete challenges and gather clues. This interactive activity encourages teamwork and critical thinking while providing a unique perspective on how small businesses operate. Our first stop is Chief Financial Credit Union where students will hear from a diverse lineup of local entrepreneurs and industry experts. They’ll share valuable insights on starting and running a business, the importance of community support, and innovative strategies that drive success. Students will have the chance to engage with business owners, ask questions, and build connections that could inspire their own entrepreneurial journeys. This field trip directly supports our course objectives by enhancing skills in entrepreneurship, communication, and practical application of business concepts in a real-world setting.
