    Youth Lacrosse - This lacrosse camp will cover the rules on the field. You will also learn offense/defense positions, game concepts and techniques, and all positions will be taught to every player. There will be full contact in the drills and all equipment is required.     3rd Annual Adams "Work Hard, Have FUN" Girls Basketball Camp (Grades 6-8)

    Instructional Basketball Camp and Competitive League for students going into grades 6-8. Camper will learn fundamentals and common basketball terminology in a fun and supportive environment. The camp will be staffed by current and former Adams Varsity basketball players and the current coaching staff. Players participate in instructional drills, tam and camp contests and 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 game play for each of the four days. Camp will conclude with Champions Day Thursday, culminating in an awards ceremony at 1:45 p.m. Students should come equipped with proper basketball attire including gym shoes and a personal water bottle. $60.00 Materials fee due to instructor on first day of class.   • AHS Chinese Culture Club 2023 - 2024

    The Chinese Culture Club is a student group dedicated to the education of all students in the topic of Chinese culture and language. Students do NOT have to be in a Chinese class in order to join, they just have to show interest in Chinese culture. The club will have activities and presentations from members of the NCHS (National Chinese Honor Society) on culture and language. Activities might include, but are not limited to, things such as holiday celebration, Chinese art, Chinese Kongfu, traditional games (Mahjong) or learning how to make Chinese foods.   • Acting in a Film Commercial w/Bright Lights Productions (Ages 10-12)

    Have you ever been interested in acting or interested in being in a commercial? Here's your chance? Bright Lights Productions will work with students on acting skills. Students will learn; emotions flashcards, learn to create characters, learn how to work in groups and solo, and learn how to take directions from a filming director. All these lessons will lead up to filming and shooting a short film series. There will be a $25.00 materials fee due to the instructor at the 1st class. Filming for the classes that start in June will take place on Friday, July 12th from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. for ALL students. We will also introduce more advanced swim strokes. All registrations must be made more than 2 business days prior to the start date of the class.   • Barracuda (Over 10)

    Front crawl–100 yards, Backstroke–100 yards, Butterfly–50 yards, Elementary backstroke–50 yards, Breaststroke–50 yards, Sidestroke–50 yards. Demonstrate the following turns while swimming: front crawl open turn, backstroke open turn, sidestroke turn, front flip turn, backstroke flip turn, breaststroke turn, butterfly turn. Students will perform the Cooper 12-minute swim test (swim for 12 minutes to cover the greatest distance possible, using whatever stroke is preferred. Rest as necessary, but go as far as possible) and will compare the results over the length of the course. All registrations must be made more than 2 business days prior to the start date of the class. Classes that do not meet established minimums will have to be cancelled.
