Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a student organization for anyone interested in business, finance, entrepreneurship, and most importantly, leadership. Members have the opportunity to compete in a wide variety of business and non-business related events, attend conferences, develop real-world skills, and connect with other students who share similar interests. If you’re interested in finance, entrepreneurship, public speaking, computer science, or simply want to explore business themes, FBLA offers great opportunities to learn, compete, and grow as a leader. The purpose of the GSA(Gender & Sexuality Alliance) is to help LGBTQ+ and Ally students to find a community and support group. 33% of LGBTQ+ students reported being bullied on school grounds, which is an astounding number compared to the 17% of non-LGBTQ+ students. The GSA is trying to spread awareness and facilitate activism, learning history, having guest speakers, and participating in activities throughout the community. German Club is a social club that is open to German students of all levels and abilities. We will explore German culture, foods, and visit local areas that have a heavy German influence. Health Occupations of America HOSA is a great opportunity for students who are interested in going into the medical field to experience and learn about different types of medical sciences. Students will compete in events against other schools.

Here4U is a student-led organization that focuses on breaking the stigma around mental health while promoting positive mental health. Throughout the year, students will plan and implement activities that focus on spreading awareness about mental health and breaking the stigma while providing resources to help. Students will also plan and implement activities that help to promote positive mental health and a culture of understanding and support within the halls of Adams High School. We will also be eating Indian dishes, as well as making various Indian food options. Kidz Covered is a nonprofit organization (awaiting its 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status) that raises money to cover medical assistive devices for children in need. We will host fundraisers to raise money and have volunteer opportunities for students to gain volunteer hours. Some activities include helping with fundraising efforts, such as running bake sales, organizing raffles, and securing restaurant sponsors. Other non-fundraising assignments we need volunteers for are to run the social media, oversee finances, and help spread awareness. In Korean Culture Club, students can learn and take part in Korean holidays, traditions, and language. There will also be activities on trending topics in Korea such as phone case decorating, Korean movie day, and making traditional Korean foods. The club will also donate money to US veterans who fought in the Korean War by setting up a Dalgona (sugar candy seen in the Netflix show “Squid Game”) sale and other bakery goods. From the national organization website: Mu Alpha Theta, which partners with professional mathematics organizations, including the Mathematical Association of America, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges, is a non-secret organization whose purpose is the promotion of scholarship in, and enjoyment and understanding of, mathematics among high school and two-year college students. The club would participate in competitions run by Mu Alpha Theta society like Rocket City Math League and Math Minutes video competitions. It will also help students with math. We would also have opportunities to reach out to middle schools like VH with math competition or homework help and other math related events on pi day and fun tournaments.
